Freerolls are tournaments that don't cost any money to enter but that pay out either real money or UltimatePoints™ as a prize pool. At UltimatePoker.com, we run a variety of freerolls. We regularly hold freerolls for players who have earned a certain number of UltimatePoints™ during the previous week. Sometimes our affiliates will request that we hold a freeroll for their players, which we will call an 'invite only' freeroll because not everyone is allowed to enter the event. And, we also use freerolls to test new tournament software. When we do this, players are told it's a testing tournament and we may go back to players for specific feedback about how the software performed.
